Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain creation, protection, transfer and commercialization of intellectual property including legal aspects. Students should be able to know how to prepare and defend patent application.
Syllabus
  • Basic terms: technology transfer, intellectual property, intangible property
  • Selected industrial rights: patents, industrial and utility models, trademarks, know-how
  • Current situation and progress of industrial-legal protection in EU and worldwide
  • Legal aspects of intellectual property protection
  • Particular steps of intellectual property protection and commercialization
  • Commercialization of intellectual property
