Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain creation, protection, transfer and commercialization of intellectual property including legal aspects. Students should be able to know how to prepare and defend patent application.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- apply his/her knowledge in the problematics of intellectual property;
- prepare patent application;
- find orientation in the legal aspects of intellectual property in small and middle companies.

  • Basic terms: technology transfer, intellectual property, intangible property
  • Selected industrial rights: patents, industrial and utility models, trademarks, know-how
  • Current situation and progress of industrial-legal protection in EU and worldwide
  • Legal aspects of intellectual property protection
  • Particular steps of intellectual property protection and commercialization
  • Commercialization of intellectual property
