Course objectives
The main objectives of the subject are identified in cognitive, psychomotor and attitude. Students will be able to: to manage specialist terminology (nursing process and human needs), to provide basic nursing care for people with a health disorder (in the area of ​​assistance in moving, eating and excreting). Students will acquire basic methods of measurement and evaluation of vital functions, will be able to use the basic terminological expert lexicon in relation to the provision of nursing care, they will be able to orientate in specialized literature, will be able to identify the problems of the patient and to formulate the nursing diagnosis in the nursing process), will be able to define requirements for effective and holistic nursing care. Subject The nursing process and human needs are theoretical and practical subjects with the predominance of practicing practical activities and acquiring basic nursing skills. The subject follows the knowledge of specialized subjects, especially nursing and pre-clinical medical disciplines. Teaching is done in specialized classrooms that simulate the conditions of the clinical workplace. Students follow the rules of health and safety at work and are encouraged to accept the rights of patients in the spirit of the holistic concept of nursing and to develop communication skills. The teaching is based on generally binding standards of nursing practice and uses the latest knowledge in the field. Part of the course is rehabilitation nursing in the prevention of immobilization syndrome. As part of the subject, students will learn to perform rehabilitation treatments – positioning, passive and active exercises, breathing gymnastics, early mobilization, self-sufficiency training to match the competences of general nurses.The acquired knowledge and skills are applied in the clinical practice of teaching nursing practice.

remove biological material provide nursing care while ensuring the need for certainty and safety provide nursing care for sensory perception and patient consciousness. provide nursing care at the dying, caring for the deceased. ensure rehabilitative nursing in the patient.

  • The needs of the human individual and their hierarchy.
  • Nursing process: definition, theoretical basis and process phases, history, individual assessment, data collection, nursing diagnostics, NANDA taxonomy II, nursing intervention classification, nursing intervention classification, evaluation of achieved care goals and the nursing process complex.
  • Nursing process in meeting the health and illness needs of a person.
  • Nursing process in ensuring the need for physical activity in health and illness - need for self-care and self-sufficiency (need for rest).
  • Nursing process in ensuring the need for health care in health and illness (including oral care for healthy and special oral cavity care).
