Course objectives
The main aim of the course is to get the students acquainted with the basic system of generative phonology from the period of The Sound Pattern of English (SPE model) (Noam Chomsky and Morris Halle, 1968). Students should be able to analyze within this frame data from various languages. Attention will be paid especially to Slavonic languages.
