Course objectives
At the end of the course Interpreting Seminar II, the student will have a basic knowledge of practicing consecutive and simultaneous interpretation and of consecutive and simultaneous interpretation self-training methods.

  • 1) Bibliography to consecutive and simultaneous interpretation 2) Familiarization with the most common types of interpreting 3) Training of consecutive interpretation (without notes and with notes) 4) Introduction to consecutive and simultaneous interpretation self-training methods 5) Interpreting with text

Acquisition of basic knowledge about the types of interpretation, and about the interpreter professional qualities. Self-training methods in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation. Simultaneous interpretation and interpretation with text.
Assessment methods
Practical oral examination.
