Course objectives
Practical language seminar; activities focused on communication. The lessons are based on original texts and audio files, oral and written exercises. The students will be asked to take part actively to the lessons.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students will able to -identify information in short dialogues and written texts, -apply their knowledge of Italian Language in short and simple dialogues, -write short texts, above all descriptive and narrative texts. -Exit Level of Language: B1
Syllabus
  • Grammatical structures: -Present tense of regular and irregular verbs, -past tenses (imperfetto e passato prossimo), future simple, imperative, present conditional -personal pronouns -connectives, -simple sentences and compound sentences. Topics: -study and work, -holidays and free time, -food and restaurants, -town, public transport, -family, jobs and everyday life.

Teaching methods
Class activities by means of authentic texts and videos/recordings. Students are required to be actively involved in class activities and practical analysis of a specific text.
Assessment methods
In order to successfully end the course students should: -prepare and do all exercises -actively take part to the lessons -read the dual-language book "Pinocchiova dobrodruzstvi", -write three written short texts (about 100-120 words each) -pass the written exam. Once enrolled in the course, attendance is highly compulsory (min. 75%).
