Course objectives
This course is primarily task-driven to provide student's 'hands-on' experience in intertpreting in Norwegian (bokmaal and nynorsk).

  • Basis Theory from Scandinavia.
  • Lecture of an experienced Norwegian or Swedisch interpreter.
  • Various situation and tasks of an interpreter.
  • Excercises focused on the com prehensive knowledge and skills of interpretation.
  • Interpreting in critical reflexion.
  • Modern methods of interpreting.

The seminar is based on methods of presentation, analysis and synthesis of knowledge. It also uses collective work, in-class discussions and individual work of students.
