Course objectives
The course aims to introduce students to the functioning of a university library, focusing on the provision of information and the operation of study rooms. The course is taught in the form of internship in the library. The scope of the experience can be chosen individually by personal arrangement.

Po absolvování předmětu je studující schopen zprostředkovat požadovanou informaci, ať už přímo, nebo odkazem na způsob jak ji získat, či na pramen, v němž je obsažena.
Syllabus
  • Participation in the initial training introduces students to the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts MUNI operation and the basics of searching through the library's information resources.
  • The internship takes place according to individual agreement. The time covers the whole semester period, 12 September - 10 February.
  • The internship may take place in the form of managing the reference desk on a given library floor. The internship may also take place in the Central Library's stacks.
  • It is possible to do the internship on weekdays during the library's opening hours (9-20).
  • It is possible to attend the practice only on weekends, for two full days. Weekend blocks can be scheduled as needed. Therefore, it does not have to be four consecutive weekends. Enrollment for blocks is available after consent to enroll has been granted.
  • Self-study of 31 hours.

– Účast na praxi.
– Ústní hodnocení kvality práce.
– Reflexe poznatků získaných během praxe a studiem povinné literatury ve formě krátkého textu v rozsahu 1 800–3 000 znaků.
– Kolokvium o průběhu praxe (ve zkouškovém období).
