Students should be able to understand and explain mechanisms of action, mechanisms of resistance and genetical aspects of resistance to antimicrobial substances, to work with information on the methods of susceptibility and resistance tests in routine microbiological laboratories together with the performance of the test for specific fenotypes and markers of resistance, to understand and explain the survey of antimicrobial substances according to the pharmacological classes with detail description of chemical, microbiological and therapeutical characteristics, treatments of infection diseases with medicinal product containing antimicrobials.
