Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives
The aim of the course is for the student to:
- worked professionally in the field, explore 5 different habitats using different methods and described their biological component
- designed and tested the implementation of comprehensive field teaching of 2nd grade pupils. Elementary school for a certain habitat
- provided feedback according to the implementation and proposed modifications to field teaching
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- work professionally in the field, explore 5 different habitats using different methods and describe their biological component
- submit a list of all plants, animals and fungi found in the habitat
- to design didactic elaboration of complex field teaching of 2nd grade pupils. Elementary school for a certain habitat
- to perform professional and didactic preparation of a comprehensive field exercise for pupils
- carry out a comprehensive field exercise directly on the field exercise, with other classmates in the role of students
- actively use methodological sets for field teaching
Syllabus
  • Integrated exercises in the field take place in the form of teamwork of students in 5 groups under the professional supervision of all teachers directly in the field (most often in the Highlands); each group is dedicated to one assigned habitat (forest, meadow, field, stagnant water, running water). Students come to the field with the developed characteristics of the area. A group of students will conduct a professional survey of the habitat, after two days of professional work submits lists of organisms found in the habitat and a rough proposal of a comprehensive field exercise for 2nd grade students. Elementary school in the given habitat. The design of the field exercise is then actively discussed with the teachers and creates a complete professional and didactic preparation for field teaching. The group is preparing all teaching materials and teaching aids. Students actively use the prepared methodological sets (ideas for field teaching, didactic and professional materials, literature, office supplies, tools for collecting and preserving biological material). For methodical and worksheets for field teaching, which they submit to the submission room of the subject in IS.
  • Day 1: morning - start of field exercise, accommodation, soon after lunch organizational meeting, division of students into groups, allocation of habitats to individual groups afternoon - visit to all habitats, identification of organisms, start of work on individual habitats (setting traps, etc.) evening - determination and preparation of collected and caught material
  • Day 2: morning and afternoon - group work on individual designated habitats; evening: presentation of a list of identified organisms in the given habitat, submission of a rough proposal of a comprehensive field exercise for pupils in the given habitat.
  • Day 3: active discussion with teachers and professional and didactic preparation of field exercises for 2nd grade pupils. ZŠ
  • Day 4: realization of field exercise with classmates, discussion, afternoon end of field exercise, cleaning, packing, loading material and departure.
  • Based on discussion and self-reflection, modification of Methodical sheets and worksheets for field practice for pupils. Topics for field exercises with students: (Students can find a more detailed elaboration in the study materials of the subject in the University Information System.)
