Course objectives
The course aims at supporting and further developing the students’ practical language competence (language skills in reading, speaking and writing). At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
- express themselves freely on the topics which were the subject of discussion in the seminar (see “osnova”),
- use the most common vocabulary in connection with the discussed topics,
- understand texts in the discussed areas and to restate the main points in their own words.
- formulate their own point of view in regard of the discussed topics.

  • The course covers four units of the textbook “Mittelpunkt B2”, namely:
  • - Travelling and Mobility (unit 1)
  • - Consumerism and Lifestyle (unit 4),
  • - Health Care and Sports (unit 2 and 11).

Assessment methods
written test at the end of the term;
oral exam during the examination period;
only students who score at least 60 % of total points at the written test are admitted to the oral exam;
attending classes is compulsory (no more than three absences are tolerated);
during the semester, homework may be required.
