- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce geographic and pedagogical research methods and their application in practice (on a sample of quantitative and qualitative data).
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to:
Search, collect, organize and interpret geographic information and data sources.
Analyse data sets using qualitative and quantitative methods.
Present geographic research findings with use of maps. - Syllabus
- 1. Brief introduction.
- 2. Overview of topics researched by contemporary geographers.
- 3. Overview of research methods that are used in contemporary geography.
- 4. Research problem/question formulation, research project design.
- 5. Data presentation.
