Learning outcomes
After successful completion of this course the student should:
- demonstrate knowledge of techniques of downhill and xc skiing, skiing history;
- choose a suitable ski equipment;
- define the technique of alpine skiing and cross-country skiing, demonstrating the correct technique of alpine skiing and cross-country skiing.

  • Practical training for alpine skiing:
  • 01. Snowplow turn.
  • 02. Stem christie.
  • 03. Prallel turn.
  • 04. Carving turn.
  • 05. Alternating two-stroke running, single-stroke double-stroke running, two-stroke double-sided skating, single-stroke double-sided skating, alternating skating, plain skating.
  • Theoretical lectures:
  • 01. Basic concepts.
  • 02. History of skiing.
  • 03. Downhill skiing technique.
  • 04. Safety in the mountains.
  • 05. Ski equipment.

Teaching methods
Practical exercises in the ski resort.
Assessment methods
The practical test consists of 2 elements: Snowplow turn, parallel turn. Written test 20 questions rated 20 points. To successfully manage the need to achieve at least 16.
