Prerequisites
Successful completion of first aid training during bachelor studies, including practical training of resuscitation according to GL 2015.
Sufficient knowledge of the physiology of sport exercises , kinesiology and other study fields.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives
The course deepens theoretical information and practical experience gained in the First Aid course during bachelor studies.
The basics of GL 2015 first aid are extended to specific situations that may occur during fitness training. The information obtained is in line with the modern development of this field. All the theoretical basis is extended by the specifics of fitness training (physiology of body load, safety, legislation ...)
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
• Identify the risks associated with the providing of first aid, including the aquatic environment and stay in the high altitude
• to enumerate and apply life-saving actions - to distinguish unconsciousness with preserved life functions and the state when it is necessary to initiate Hands only or cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Perform an adult, baby, infant and post-drowing resuscitation - change the resuscitation scenario if an external external defibrillator is in place
• stop a life-threatening bleeding
• Identify the severity of possible damage to the organism from an injury mechanism and adequately respond
• Treat typical injuries to the locomotive apparatus, especially with a focus on fitness training (various scenarios and environments)
• Identify safety risks in conditioning training in different environments, eliminating these risks
• deduce from the symptoms a likely type of non-traumatic condition that may occur during fitness training and adequately respond to the situation
• Treat heat and cold damage to the organism that can occur during fitness training
• to expel a foreign body by aspiration by a technique depending on the age of the affected person
• to discuss the possibilities of prevention of an accidental or non-traumatic condition in fitness training, swimming pool or normal life
