Course objectives
At the end of this course, a student will be able to understand the areas of social work; he/she will have a picture of the social work methods and based on this knowledge, he/she will be able to apply these findings into the social-pedagogic practise. The information will be used for the projecting area.

Syllabus
  • Social work as specialization and scientific discipline, cooperation with other scientific disiplines. Basic terms and ideas of social work, paradigms of social work. Development of social work all over the world and in the Czech Republic. Social worker and client, etihcdemands of social work, burnout syndrome. Voluntary work, approaches to work with minorities. Chosen methodes of of social work from the view of pedagogic and social practice, block of experts from practice
