Basic knowledge of modern Japanese. Solid knowledge of English.

Course objectives
The main aim of this course is to offer a comprehensive and coherent course of the field of Japanese studies, concentrating on the specialization of the lecturer. The lecturer is a specialist from a foreign research/education institution whose field of expertise complements or reaches beyond regular courses of the Japanese studies programme at the Faculty of Arts.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to:
provide basic characteristics of the field of study related to the lectures;
describe and define basic concepts;
navigate in the basic literature related to the topics of the lectures;
actively participate in lectures held in English;
write a paper in English on specific topic.
