Course objectives
The student will be able to: explain the background and concept of information literacy and define them in relation to other literacies; interpret selected models and information literacy standards focusing on different levels of education and target groups; orient themselves in an international context of this field; know how to use the technologies and how they affects this area; analyze domestic and international information literacy courses; exploit research results and implement them into own design lessons information literacy; practical use of technology for teaching and information literacy.

  • FRAMEWORK - The framework of information literacy and the definition of the basic concept.
  • TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS - Information literacy in terms of the development and use of technology.
  • THEORY - Information literacy standards in the context of the information society.
  • RESEARCH - Research in information education - principles, objectives and areas.
  • PRACTICE - The content of information literacy from a practical point of view.
  • APPLICATIONS - Presentation own research on information literacy

Teaching methods
This course is divided into 7 separate units. Each unit contains theoretical and practical parts. The elements of interactive teaching and methods of critical thinkin will be used.
