Course objectives
Main objectives can be sumarized as obtaining basic information and practical experience in analytical techniques employed in the branch of restauration and conservating of objects of cultural heritage.
Syllabus
  • 1. Emission spectrography with electric arc, spectra evaluation, qualitative analysis 2. Inductively coupled plasma (ICP) optical emission spectrometry (OES) in qualitative analysis - evaluation of screening spectra 3. ICP-OES in quantitative analysis, determination of major constituents and and trace elements 4. Laser ablation coupled to ICP spectrometer for qualitative and quantitative analysis 5. Laser induced breakdown spectrometry (LIBS)for local analysis and microanalysis, concentration map of a sample surface. 6. X-ray fluorescence spectrometry - qualitative analysis 7. X-ray fluorescence spectrometry - quantitative analysis 8. Methods of molecular spectroscopy 9. methods of molecular spectroscopy 10. X-ray diffraction of crystallic materials 11. X-ray diffraction of crystallic materials
