Course objectives
Topic of the lecture is based on an analysis of relationships society-raw materials-living environment. There are presented risks of technology used by geologists, involved into a geology industry and discussed their prevention and restorations.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction: a global relationship raw materials-society, state institutions for geology and living environment, basic law documents related. 2. Classification of geological activities from the risk point of view. 3. Main factors of risk in a mining industry for living environment. 4. Overview of basic treatment proceses and technologies and their influence to living environment. 5. Important industrial type of deposits and hazards related. 6. Affect of mining in Czech republic. 7. Geologic aspects of reclamation and renaturalization, examples.
