Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is the preparation for the proper language course within curricula, and enlarge their discipline-oriented vocabulary.
Syllabus
  • 1st section Unit 6:"there is/there are", present continuous; housing, city; sentence stress, -ing, city names
  • 2nd section Unit 7:a/an/some/any, much/many, be going to; food and drinks, holidays; pronunciation of selected phonemes
  • 3rd section Unit 8: comparative and superlative, would like to/like, adverbs; personality adjectives, weather, adventures; consonant groups, sentence stress
  • 4th section Unit 9: present perfect, have been to and past participles; pronunciation of irregular past participles
  • Compulsory study oriented materials corresponding with the respective study field - to be done anytime during the semester. For futher details see the interactive syllabi

Assessment methods
The course is completed by a final test (besides partial tests) which will be taken on a given date. The passmark to pass the final test is 60%. Test will be taken during the exam period. Students are obliged to register for the terms posted in IS.
