Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to introduce students of PhD studies to current topics in regional economy. In this context, mostly the following topics are mentioned: . Theoretical and practical approaches to the relation of spatial distribution of economic activities in terms of global economy (application on the example of the Czech Republic). . Theoretical approaches to regional competitiveness, structural aspects. . Theoretical and practical aspects of formation, spreading and adoption of innovation processes in terms of the development of knowledge economy. . Direct and indirect instruments of promotion of economic development (with the emphasis on the promotion of the business domain). . The role of clusters in regional development.
