Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to obtain knowledge of the principles of international trade. At the end of this course, students should be able to understand the basic forms of international trade, explain concepts and basic characteristics of the world economy and the global economic environment, learn about the most important institutions in this area, to explain issues of foreign trade, describe and analyze the territorial and commodity structure of international trade; assess and develop arguments for trends in international trade for each territories / commodity.

Teaching methods
Lectures with a presentation of examples and real situations, case studies.
Assessment methods
Student has to work out one POT (work amended by tutor) in the semester. Presentation of POT is obligatory and it is a necessary condition to approach the exam. Exam will proceed within actual examination period. With respect to the scope of the course, the student has to choose one of the topics as a POT setting, present it and hand it in. The necessary condition of successful passing the exam is reaching more than 60 % of the total points, it means at least 61 points (final test = 90 points; plus POT evaluation = 10 points).
