- At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- understand and explain the theory of the insurance market and clarify the investment activities of insurance institutions and their instruments;
- clarify the regulation of the insurance market;
- characterize an insurance market in the Czech Republic and the Single EU insurance market and to analyze them;
- analyze segments and subjects of the Czech insurance market, the current occupation of the insurance market of commercial insurance companies and indicators to evaluate the performance of the market. - Syllabus

Requirements for completion of the course:
1. Rating of semester work. Rating of semester work is similar to the colloquium classification form, which is passed or failed. In the case of the evaluation fail student will not admitted to the exam. In the case of the classification passed the semester work will reflect in the final assessment of up to 10 % (1 point) according to the assessment of the teacher.
2. Examination test and final classification.
A condition of participation in the exam is processing, submission and the presentation of the semester work on an issue with the classification passed.
The final mark is made up of: the result of the exam test of lectures and literature (maximum 10 points) and classification of the semester work (a bonus of up to 0,5 point).
Rating scale:
A: 92 – 100 % (9.2 – 10 resp. 10,5 points),
B: 84 – 91 % (8.4 – 9.1 points),
C: 76 – 83 % (7.6 – 8.3 points),
D: 75 – 68 % (6.8 – 7.5 points),
E: 60 – 67 % (6.0 – 6.7 points),
F: less than 60% (less than 6 points).
Warning: Any copying, recording or leaking tests, use of unauthorized tools, aids and communication devices, or other disruptions of objectivity of exams will be considered non-compliance with the conditions for course completion as well as a severe violation of the study rules. Consequently, the teacher will finish the exam by awarding grade "F" in the Information System, and the Dean will initiate disciplinary proceedings that may result in study termination. - Language of instruction
