Course objectives
The student is able to process business data, understand them and then visualize them appropriately for presentation to both superiors and subordinates. Subsequent decisions are based on the processed and visualized data.
Learning outcomes
Data can load xlsx data, internet Edit the retrieved data (Power BI, Excel, Google Sheets) Visualize data (Power BI - bar chart visuals, spreadsheet, matrix, Excel Gogle spreadsheet - charts and contingency tables) Link different tables (links, sessions, functions) Present data (Power Point, Teams)
Syllabus
  • 1) Introduction to data 2) Data formats advantages, disadvantages (xlsx, csv, sql, txt, JSON, XML) 3) How to present data (visuals, graphs, interactions) 4) Storytelling with data (Visuals and problems when using different visuals, 2D vs 3D graph) 5) Practical demonstration using SW for data processing - Excel - Power Query - Excel - Power Pivot - Excel - VBA - Google Sheets - Power BI - MySQL - SELECT - JOIN 6) Data processing and visualization - manufacturing company - HR department 7) Acquisition of data - questionnaires 8) Other tools - Looker Studio - R-ko, Python - Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
