Course objectives
Insurance Right (SDPP) The course is for students of the specialisation Insurance. It is directly subsequent to the course Law for Economists. It enlarges the basic knowledge of law by these further topic areas: knowledge of the legal framework of the insurance business, particularly public law regulations of the position of commercial insurance companies, rules for ensuring their solvency, role of insurance brokers; unfair competition and protection of justified interests of the insured. Special attention is paid to the process of implementation of the EU Insurance Right standards in the Czech insurance right; development trends of insurance institutions; basic juridical institutes of insurance as an contractual legal relation. Examination: written test and oral.
