- Předmět Ekonomika bydlení navazuje na znalosti, které studenti oboru veřejná ekonomika získali dosavadním studiem základních kurzů tohoto oboru. Žádné zvláštní předpoklady se nepožadují.

- Course objectives
- Economy of Housing (EKBY) The subject continues the topics studied in Economics of the Public Sector and Economics of Non-profit Organisations. It solves both theoretical and practical problems of housing, linked with provision of a housing unit as a good and ensuring its operation. The relationship between housing and national economy is discussed, as well as specific features of the housing market and its interaction with the related market segments (real estate market, market of services, building and materials market, labour market, consumer market and capital market), the impact of housing on the living environment including its links with land planning etc. A separate part of the subject deals with planning and implementation of the government and communal housing policies including comparisons with foreign countries (particularly EU countries). It also reviews the history and presence of housing economy in the CR. A significant emphasis is given to all circumstances of affordability of adequate housing for all household types. The subject analyzes the financial instruments, pertaining to satisfying the housing need, including their practical implementation in owned and rented housing. Credit requirements: 70 % active participation, seminar essay. Examination form: oral.
