Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to learn the students how to start their own business with the realization of all opprotunities and threatens. This course prepares students for a future entrepreneurship, as founders of new businesses or within already established companies as succession business. It is designed to give students practical insights into business aspects that are important during a companys early development phases, and to make them more effective in managing and growing such company.
Learning outcomes
Students will create and present business study for their own start up. The project will be done in the team or individualy.
Syllabus
  • Introduction - basic information about the course. The possibilities of starting the business in the Czech Republic.
  • Analysis of 5C, definition of value and goals of the business
  • Situation analysis, market analysis, driving forces of the industry, relevant stakeholders, funding
  • Creation of business model and its revision according to the stakeholders demand.
  • Franchising
  • Strategic alliancies- merges and aquisitions
  • Financing - start up funding, cash-flow, revenue stream,balance sheet, profit and loss account
  • Financing - economies of scale, BEP, ROI, CBA analysis
  • Setting up the marketing mix according the business plan and financial analysis
  • Risk analysis, scheduling and control

Elaboration and presentation of a correctly solved circuit of the assigned problem during the semester, when interim reports on the solution will be submitted and during the last concentration on the selected topic (participation - fulfilled/not fulfilled) If the assignment is not completed by the deadline, the course will be graded with a grade of X. colloquium - defence of the project
