Teaching methods
Teaching consists of a number of seminars dealing with presentation of scenographic concepts and ideas using historically relevant examples. It should show the scenography and architecture movement and architecture in motion in the history of theatre. Part of the teaching consists of the visit to the theatrical studio of the Janacek Academy of Performing Arts and viewing a theatre performance there. In the second part of the teaching programme the students are developing their own scenographic design on the basis of their own script. The outcome of this effort should be presentation of a performance design based on student's own script, conceptual proposal of solving all scenographic details and graphical execution of a chosen scene. The teaching subject for Spring 2011 is „Design of scenographical or else multimedia space - study by individual task“.
Assessment methods
Presentation of students‘ own design in each study group.
