Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand basic therapeutic movements
- apply movement programmes in therapeutical care
Syllabus
  • 1. Therapy, psychotherapy, therapeutist, psychiatrist, psychologist. The system of kinesiotherapy, history, representatives.
  • 2. Movement, health, disease, valetudinarianism, psychiatric diseases, stress
  • 3. Contemporary psychotherapeutic movements (depth psychology, dynamic, Rogerian, behavioural, cognitive, communication, Gestalt, existential, humanistic psychotherapy, etc.)
  • 4.Kinesiotherapy as a supportive treatment method, means of kinesiotherapy and its application, use in treatment and prevention.
  • 5.Forms of kinesiotherapy in treatment of psychiatric patients (focused, active relaxation programmes, activation programmes,trust and self-confidence increasing programmes, communicative programmes, use of sports activities in therapeutic way), practical examples of the approaches.
  • 6.Research in kinesiotherapy.
  • 7.The principles of kinesiotherapy, forms (treatments: dementia, addiction, schizophrenia, manic diseases, neuroses, personality and behaviour disorders).
  • 8.Psychoprofylaxis as a method of re-socialization of youth and adults and its forms in kinesiotherapy.
  • 9.Kinesiotherapy in seniors. Use of movement activities and possible risks.
  • 10. Psychomotor therapy.
  • 11.Play specialist and his role in treatment of ill children.
  • 12.Revision lesson. Tests. Discussion.
  • 13.Evaluation of the subject. Self-evaluation.
