- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- - to understand basic of music and movement field and practical application of it (tempo, rhytm, bars)
- to learn basic steps in irish dance (skip 123, side step, 123, swing)
- to learn irish ceilli dance (Walls Of Limerick, Siege Of Ennis) and basic solo dance (reel, jig and slip jig) - Syllabus
- 1.- 3. Basic steps – skip 123, side step, swing, 123; Ceilli dance – Every Man’s Chance; compensation for irish dancers
- 4.- 6. Differentiate reel rhythm from jig and polka rhythm; basic steps in jig
- 7. – 9. Basic steps in polka; Polka dance; Easy jig – solo dance
- 10. – 12. Special steps – points, change, rock 23, Jumps – up, double lift, scissors; Ceilli dance – Walls Of Limerick, Siege Of Ennis
