- Course objectives
- After successful completion of the course "Athletics optional II" will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of techniques and rules of javelin throwing, discus throw, pole vault, triple jump and run relay
- Apply the correct technique javelin throw, discus throw, troskoku, pole vault and running relay
- Analyze (and critically evaluate) the most common errors in technique to implement the above mentioned disciplines - Syllabus
- Introduction to study optional athletics
- Rehearsal techniques, rules and a brief history of run relay
- Rehearsal techniques, rules and brief history of javelin throwing
- Rules and training techniques brief history discus throw
- Rehearsal techniques, rules and brief history of pole vaulting
- Rehearsal techniques, rules and brief history of the triple jump

- Teaching methods
- Practical exercises at the athletic stadium.
- Assessment methods
- Credits are awarded based on student out successfully passing the final written test and active participation in practical teaching. The test consists of 10 closed questions (3 variants answer to one question) rated 10 points. The successful completion is necessary to get at least 7 points. The content of the test are the rules, history and technique discussed athletic disciplines. The student must actively (trains) complete at least 90% practical training.
