Course objectives
The subject has two main objectives
1. preparation and realization of the Health Day, in which the practical contact forms of the workshop will be presented with preventive movement and nutritional recommendations;
2. developing model training, regeneration and nutrition plans for different training and competitive situations.
Learning outcomes
Aftre completing the course student will be able to:
1. prepare, organize and implement a health promotion event;
2.identify risk factors for main non-communicable diseases using correctly selected procedures;
3. Categorize and interpret valid recommendations in primary and secondary prevention of non-communicable diseases;
4.Construct a physical activity and regeneration program for the sporting population taking into account the specifics of individual sports disciplines;
5.To draw up an individual nutritional plan of the athlete taking into account the workload, age and health status.
Syllabus
  • Part 1:
  • Health promotion Day: "The Health Day" will include practical demonstrations of measurement, procedures to identify health hazards (weight, body composition, circuits, skin algae, blood pressure, biochemical markers, and more), a nutritional history, and analysis of nutritional habits;
  • students will prepare methodological papers that will be used at the workshop and with the client.
  • Part 2:
  • individual creation of training and regeneration programs for the athletic population;
  • formation and design of an exemplary training plan that will include a description of the training period explaining the training, regeneration and nutrition recommendations included (creation of sample methodical material);
  • examples of sample training and nutrition plans for goal: weight gain, weight reduction, weight maintenance, performance boost, support for training adaptation, etc ...

Teaching methods
- one-time block-lesson at the beginning of the semester in the 3h (preparation of the group "Health day" project, division of tasks and competencies, division of the work with the client - training and nutrition plans)
- individual, independent work on the creation of methodological sheets and sample plans
- Consultation with teachers
Assessment methods
Participation in block-lessons and consultations. Implementation of a one-day group project (Health Day) with the active involvement of all students enrolled in the subject. Placement of completed prepared training and nutrition plans on the subject's website.
