Course objectives
The aim of this subject is to apply the theoretical knowledge from biomechanics, kinesiology and development ontogenesis to the creation of motion programmes for debilitated persons or trained individuals with high performance requirements. The practices will include analysis of the physiological aspects of the neuromusculoskeletal system in various physical activities. The diagnostics of these aspects will then be applied to therapy to create a gentle and economic movement.
Learning outcomes
In these lessons, students will be able to:
- identify parameters physiology of the musculoskeletal system in static and dynamic positions;
- react in case of insufficient parameters and in cooperation with a physiotherapist to work on the modification of the technique within the preventive motion programmes;
- set up a motion programme for individual and group physical activities;
- modify basic positions with the use of modern and commonly available tools;
- adjust and correct individual motion segments in physiological position;
- decide on an adequate approach to kinesiotherapy as a means to achieve good regeneration or health retention.
Syllabus
  • Senzomotorics and its importance in examination and therapy.
  • Physiological movement (meaning of the limbic system, psychotherapy, imagination).
  • Physiological aspects of the musculoskeletal system in static positions.
  • Elements of physiology in dynamic movement stereotypes - lower limbs (standing position, squat, lunge, kneeling position). Varieties for diagnostics and therapy.
  • Elements of physiology in dynamic movement stereotypes - upper limbs (forearms or palms support function, support on one's hands and knees). Varieties for diagnostics and therapy.
  • Elements of physiology in dynamic movement stereotypes – trunk (lying positions - prone, supine, side, sitting and standing position). Varieties for diagnostics and therapy.
  • Application of the physiological aspects of the musculoskeletal system to the training program in the gym.
  • Application of the physiological aspects of the musculoskeletal system to exercises with labile tools of type BOSU, TRX.
  • Elements of physiology in dynamic movement stereotypes – breath (work with inhale, exhale, resistance exercises, voice). Varieties for diagnostics and therapy.
  • Application of the physiological aspects of the musculoskeletal system to aerobic activities such as Nordic walking, running.
  • Cortical functions diagnostics and their use in kinesiotherapy.
  • Application of the physiological aspects of the musculoskeletal system to barefoot walking and running.
  • Principles of the tape application.
  • Principles of the kinesiotape application.
