Course objectives
Social skills of teachers The aim of the course is to offer a possibility for self-understanding through exercises and games in a social group and to show the potentialities of personal development especially in relation to teachers profession and group management. The theme of classes is the development of social skills (social cognition, communication, conflict, decision making, cooperation and others) with the help of applied social psychology instruments.
Syllabus
  • Social psychology. Influence of group on individual – culture, norms, roles. Relationship of individual to the others – attitudes, stereotypes, prejudice. Social groups. Social influence in groups – conformity, innovation, group decision-making, authority, leadership. Group performance. Inter-group relationships. Pro-social behavior. Aggression. Cooperation and competition. Conflict and conflict management. Communication.
