Course objectives
The participants of the summer school will acquire theoretical knowledge, as well as practical skills and competences in the area of group work. Students will also acquire basic competences in creation of teambuilding programmes and they will be introduced into the methodology of experiential learning.

The 3 courses within the summer school deal with managing groups from different points of view:
Whereas SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY provides deep theoretical background, TEAM SKILLS offer practical methods, in order to apply these pieces of knowledge into practice. INTRODUCTION TO EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING provides the background for personal development and understanding its functioning within the context of a group and group processes. Combination of these three courses forms a stable basis for development of competences of the participants in the area of work with a group or a team.

Both theoretical and programme resources of the summer school are the group development stages by B.Tuckman (1965): forming - storming - norming - performing – closing.
This structure provides a basis for the summer school contents, including theoretical and practical parts.
