Course objectives
The aim of the course is to teach students to work independently with clients. Students will acquire knowledge of the preparation and operation of counseling centers (legislative framework, a marketing framework, the ability to focus on the market). At the end of the course students will be able to create a work schedule with the client. Part of the course will be an interview with the client (application of psychotherapeutic approaches) therapy, smoking cessation, burnout, stress prevention. Students will learn the latest approaches and understanding of quality of life, acquire knowledge in the field of Wellness, will be able to perceive the quality of life from a holistic perspective and acquire skills and professional competence for managing a healthy lifestyle counseling.

  • 1. The operation of the center. 2. Legislative requirements. 3. Occupational requirements. 4. Equipment Centre, balance sheet. 5. Wellness concept. 6. Quality of life. 7.Psychotherapeutic approaches   counseling lifestyle. 8. Motivational interviewing. 9. Quitting smoking. 10. Burnout. 11. Stress prevention. 12. Making project - guidelines. The practical part of the training of individual situations. Projects by task - to create a budget, schedule, educational materials for clients. Smoking cessation interventions for stress relief. The practical and theoretical part will also focus on current trends in working with clients, especially at the level of physical activity. Body work, massage.

Assessment methods
• 85% active participation in seminars • Development of the project according to specification and its oral defense, evaluated A-F scale. • Upon successful completion of (at least 60% of the maximum 100%) of the final written test (20 closed questions), oral exam, knowledge assessed on a scale A-F.
