Course objectives
The main goals of the educational process involve:
- the improvement of motion skills and fitness
- the impact on the positive approach towards sports activities considered as the protection against conflicts, civilization diseases and stress
- the support of students healthy lifestyle
Step Aerobics is fitness lesson with music where the pace is enhanced via stepping on the boxes. It developes basic locomotory skills and improves aerobic bloodstream and lung capacity via basic aerobics steps linked into simple choreographies. Floorwork and body building of abdominal, gluteal, back muscles as well as final stretching are put at the end of each lesson.
In the course, other forms of exercises are used, such as power step,tabata, interval and circuit workout.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able:
- master basic and modified steps of step aerobics and their linked in choreographie - dance and power

  • 1. introduction of basic steps
  • 2. simple choreographies
  • 3. development of basic locomotory skills and fitness improvement
  • 4. development of locomotory and coordination skills
  • 5. abdominal, gluteal and back muscle building up
  • 6. final stretching

- exercise, credit - the credit is given to students for the attendance - 3classes can be misses and there is no need of any apology - the substitution of more absence sis not allowed
