Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to choose the best approach to social work to work with     migrants, will be able to identify the basic determinants of work with this target group and will be able to use their skills in formulating solutions to the particular casuistry of refugees and migrants. The aim of course is increase orientation students in social work with refugees and migrants. This subject is lectured with external lectors - akademic workers and experts from practice in context social work.
Syllabus
  • 1. lesson- course organisation (study plan, necessary literature list, course finish) 2. lesson - 3. lesson - and migration in Czech republic (number of applicants, ethnics consist of asylum applicants, behavior specific. Foreigners groups on our territory, evelopments perspective) 4. lesson - legislative and asylum procedure international and introstate legislative (concepts, defrinition of refugee in accordance with Geneve convention, safety origin country, third safety country, laws and duties asylum applicants. Phase of asylum procedure, this procedure in context social work) 5. lesson - multiculturalism, culture diversity of social work with different culture subjects, ethic access, principles, conflicts and dilemates 6. lesson - teoretics access to work with minority - application teoretics access social work on work with refugees 7. lesson - social work employee of SUZ - security basic and specific needs in asylum centres, standard procedure 8. lesson - social work workers NGOs - social legal problematics asylum applicants, social - terapeutic access, standard procedure 9. lesson - recognised refugees, integration - accesses to recognised refugees integration, country integration program 10. lesson - long - termely and permanenth established foreigners and theirs integration, conception of migration politics of Czech republic 11. lesson - psychological problems of refugees and migrants - the most frequent dysfunctions, crisis intervention, posttraumatical state, adaptation problems 12. lesson - casuistics - usual and extraordinary problems, suitable solution, model solution 13. lesson - talk with lecturer about seminar paper (solution of concrete client case) + talk about evaluation questionnaire (subject and teaching evaluation)

Teaching methods
Contents of this course - lecture of teachers, prezentation experts and open forum with refugees and foreigners.
Assessment methods
Take minimum 80% part in lessons, seminary work (solution of concrete client case) + successful finish talk about solution with lecturer, evaluation questionnaire - subject and teaching evaluation + successful finish talk about evaluation with lecturer, is condition for finish this course.
