Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide basic theoretical and practical information on communication with the public and with the media, typically for employees of the state administration or local municipality. The course also includes the acquisition of knowledge and competences for communicating with the public, including speaking in front of the camera.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: Understand the basic aspects of communication with the public and apply their knowledge in practice. Choose relevant channels for public communication suitable for specific target groups. Understand the differences between crisis communication and regular public communication. Know the current media landscape and understand the logics of public service television news. Perform competently on camera when communicating with the public.

Lectures, workshops, excursions, media training, reading.
Assessment methods
The course ends with a colloquium, a debate on the topics discussed. Active participation in the media training is a prerequisite for the colloquium.
