Course objectives
Under the guidance of the teacher, the students develop a documentary (fiction-documentary) programme (film, radio, depending on the need of the topic) on a topic chosen by the teacher and thus simulate the functioning of a scriptwriting team. During the semester, students will conduct independent research, which they will then present to others, conduct interviews, prepare a theme and script, directorial concept, conduct site scouting, and prepare a grant application. An integral part of the course is also dramaturgical work on themes prepared by authors from Brno (themes and contact to authors will be provided by the teacher).
Learning outcomes
Upon graduation, students are able to: - independently develop a script - to think dramaturgically about the prepared treatment or script - work in a group - independently carry out research and analysis of media texts - think and work in accordance with the principles of project management

  • 1. Presentation of treatments and division of tasks. 2. Independent research. 3. Presentation of research and discussion. 4. Preparation of treatment, trailer, author's concept. 5. Preparation of grant application. 6. Presentation of the project.

In order to complete the course, it is necessary to develop a dramaturgical concept for the assigned subject and to complete ongoing research and other tasks.
