Course objectives
The course provides both theoretical and practical exploration of the principles and practices of the of the governance as the „new“ analytical concept of public policy in the contemporary context. This Module is designed to provide students with a working knowledge of theoretical issues in governance and public policy. The Module also addresses good governance. It introduces the various ways in which governance can be conceptualized and explores a range of challenges through these particular constructs. The course explores different modes, roles, principles of the governance as well as the possibilities through which the citizen engagement can be achieved. The goal is to develop a strong reflexive perspective of each participant build on the good governance not only in the social sphere but also in the public policies (especially based on the local government and trust and confidence with the awareness of the general pressures and trends). It also introduces a certain number of ideas, frameworks and concepts that helps one to making sense of the contemporary policy.
