Course objectives
The aims of course PSY155 Groundig of psychology of creativity:
- to know something about psychological theories of human creativity
- to know and to know to use some methods of psychological creativity identifying
- to be able to present own individual creativity
- to have experience about own creativity process
- to be active, interactive and cooperative in any group work

- to be more creative :-)
Syllabus
  • - History of creativity and psychological history of creativity
  • - Theories of creativity (biological fundaments of creativity, definying of creativity, creative process, creative personality, Perkin s model)
  • - Creative thinking (convergent and divergent thinking, atributs of creative thinking – fluency, flexibility, elaboration, originality etc.)
  • - Inner sources and barriers of creativity (Adams)
  • - Chances and limits of creativity identifying: tests of creativity (Torrance test of creative thinking, Urban-Jellen Test, Playing Creativity Test); questionnaires (KAI, Raudsepp); self-analysis methods; practical and methodological problems of creativity identifying
  • - Creativity and pedagogical practise ( from teachers(master) creativity to pupils creativity)
  • - Important personalities in psychology of creativity (P. Guilforg, E. deBono, T. Buzan, Osborn)
  • - Facilitation of ideas produce (brainstorming, brainwtitting aj.)
  • - Mind mapping - Informations in pictures are better (T. Buzan)
  • Right brain hemisphere activities
  • - Creativity in mind or cereativity in body? Concept of everyday creativity, creative life style.

Conditions of subject completition and the acquisition of graded course-unit credit:
1. 80% participation on courses
2. written "initiatory excercise"
3. prezentation of own creativity 4. writing an essay focused on psychology of creativity; using literature work with monographs and scholarly journals
5. successful final test (or colloquium)
