Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand the application of gender categories;
- identify core authors and aproaches;
- recognize relevant concepts for understanding a given social phenomenon.
The course is focused on gender aspects of selected social phenomena. The lectures of this course will be taught by several teachers from gender studies who will present the outcomes of their analytical work and their research. The lectures will be supplemented with multimedia presentations (film, documents etc.). The lessons will be held in blocks in two weeks interval. Main objective of the course is to introduce current gender analysis. Students from other then gender studies program are more than welcome.
