Course objectives
At the end of the course the students will be able to actively apply the tools of policy analysis in order to identify, analyze, and solve relevant policy problems. They will be able of team work. Furthermore, the students will be able to describe and compare the most important policy fields in the Czech Republic. Thus, they will be able to utilize the acquired analytical skills in several areas of policy making. In addition, the students will be provided with a manual for writing both policy-oriented research and policy papers. As a result, the students will be able to independently execute policy-oriented research and analysis.

Teaching methods
Lectures by policy experts, student team work, student presentations.
Assessment methods
1. Compulsory attendance in the course.
2. At the end of the working week (see the syllabus) the student teams are required to submit a 10-pages long policy paper focused on a particular policy area. The policy papers will be evaluated by the respective experts.
