Course objectives
Students are offered to obtain variety of new impulses as far as social policy on the local level is concerned.
Firstly, students are acquainted with organization of social activities of the municipality.
Secondly they will learn how to identify social problems of locality and to assess its social potential.
And lastly, students will gain knowledge how potential of local community can be fostered and expanded.

  • Limits of responsibility and opportunities of the local community
  • Structure of the „social world“ of a local community and its social development
  • Articulation of goals of social policies within local community
  • Division of responsibilities for social policies in municipality in-between local level and state level
  • Main causes of problems in social development of a local community
  • Social pre-conditions of social development of a local community
  • How to manage social development of the local community
  • How to formulate goals
  • How to mobilize stakeholders
  • How to formulate approaches
  • Search and securing of sources
  • The role of a social entrepreneur within positive solutions of goals, needs, and problems in the local community
