- Předmět bude realizován blokově, jako podvečerní soustředění v druhé polovině semestru. Studenti budou samostatně zpracovávat témata charakteristická pro Lisabonskou smlouvu a integrační posun. Následně budou témata prezentována a diskutována. Předpokládá se aktivní práce s textem Lisabonské smlouvy - vlastní text, kam možno zanášet poznámky, je výhodou.

- Course objectives
- The course fills considerable gap in previous course offer. It is aimed at explanation of the process of the treaty’s origination and at its practical analysis. Subsequently, the treaty will be analyzed step by step. The basis of the course is critical reading of the treaty including its annexes. The course will be built on the consolidated version of the treaty.

Structure of the Treaty: Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Preamble, Principles 5. Categories and Areas of EU Competences, Policies and Actions 6. Justice and Home Affairs: Asylum, Immigration, Cooperation, Police 7. Economic and Monetary Policy 8. Institutions and Financial Provisions 9. External Action and Development Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid, Solidarity Clause 10. Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU: Position and Content 11. - Teaching methods
- The course’s prevalent form is class discussion. The key instrument is guided discussion and team work. Successful course completion requires active participation in the seminars. The course is equipped with electronic multiple choice tests which will serve as a feedback between particular thematic blocks.
- Assessment methods
- The course is finished by the written exam. The credits will be recognized after the presentation of the chosen topic, passing the session and the final tests.
