- Course objectives
- The course focuses on the development of psychologist’s basic competencies needed for interview with a client, especially during the initial interview. The aim is to help students develop a basis for the acquisition of professional competencies during their studies. Students will be able to use these competencies in various professional contexts (psychotherapy and clinical psychology, work psychology, educational and school psychology, psychodiagnostics, education, research, etc.), where such competencies are required. The course is based primarily on practical skills training and class discussions. Therefore, it requires the active participation of each student. Part of the course is also a theoretical grounding of acquired skills (understanding their meaning, knowledge of different forms, etc.), and connecting skills with knowledge gained in other courses.
