- Course objectives
- The main goal is to introduce defferent approaches of civic participation and discuss its positive amd negative aspects. Course is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part will present academic writings about public participation and developing discusion about this subject. Practical part will focus on adaptation of participative methods into praxis with focus on sustainable city planning. This will be done via practical trainings and workshops. Its goal is to show importance of public participation as well as its potential for misuse.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will know the theoretical discussion about civic participation, incl. risks of participation, will be able to evaluate the quality of the participative process and plan the process using a variety of methods.
