- Course objectives
- Visits to Czech energy institutions and companies aim to enhance students' competitiveness at the job market. The institutions taking part in the course include for example: Ministry of Trade and Industry, Energy Regulatory Office, Electricity and Gas Market Operator, Innogy, ČEPS, SEVEn, the ABF Foundation. Lectures by the institutions' representatives of the company as well as interactive workshops/discussions carried out directly on the company´s workplace are included, so students have a unique opportunity to compare theoretical knowledge with practical examples. The program also features field trips to several energy plants such as an underground natural gas storage facility.
- Learning outcomes
- The course provides the students with:
- a deeper understanding of the daily routine in the Czech energy sector
- a first-hand contact with some of the main actors of the sector
- increased competitiveness at the job market - Syllabus
- The visits usually take place within just one week during the Spring semester. The preliminary program as well as the list of confirmed institutions for each run of the course will be presented at the introductory meeting that takes place in the first two weeks of the semester. The final program will be announced as soon as it is completed, however, due to the frequent changes in schedules of the institutions' representatives and/or conference rooms booking, last minute changes to the final program cannot be ruled out.
