- Course objectives
- In the course "Gender and Violence" students will gain knowledge about the issue of gender-based violence. They will learn about different forms of gender-based violence, such as domestic and partner violence, sexual violence and human trafficking. We will also look at the problem of violence against women as an illustration of the structure of gender inequalities in society. Learners will be guided to a deeper understanding of this serious social issue, including the basic ability to eliminate it, whether at the level of individual cases or at the societal level. The method of teaching will be interactive, attractive for learners (self-presentations, group discussions, analysis of texts and current articles, interesting guests and guests entering the course). Great emphasis is placed on the possibility of self-expression of the learners. The students contribute significantly to the form of the teaching. Each lesson consists of two parts (home preparation of the students in the form of reading assigned texts, preparation of reports, partial tasks, etc. and the actual teaching by the teacher).
